Meet the Doctors

Dr. Steven Richardson was born in Anaheim, California. In 1971, he moved to Fullerton with his parents and siblings. While living in Fullerton, he attended Ladera Vista Junior High School, and graduated from Sunny Hills High School. Later, he attended USC and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1981. He continued his education at the USC School of Dentistry and graduated in 1985 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

While attending Sunny Hills High School, he met his future wife, Laura Dean-Richardson. Though she is a UCLA graduate and is a diehard UCLA fan, she attended USC Law School. During a summer school break, they married in 1982.

Dr. Richardson enjoys being a dad to Mandy and Mike. He likes to scuba dive and travel. He also enjoys continuing his education in dentistry and participates in many enriching seminars throughout the year. Dr. Steven Richardson is an active member of The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The Orange County Dental Society, The California Dental Association, and The American Dental Association.

Dr. John Christensen is a 1975 graduate of University of Southern California, School of Dentistry. Upon graduation he spent 2 years on active duty with the United States Navy as a Dental Officer, including one year in Okinawa, Japan. He was selected to the Graduate Prosthodontics Program at USC but instead joined his uncle, Dr. Leslie Christensen, in his Fullerton practice…thus the origin of his more informal title, “Dr. John”. Dr. Christensen is licensed to practice Dentistry in both Nevada and California.

Dr. Christensen was a part-time Clinical Instructor at the USC School of Dentistry following active duty. While in private practice, he continued his service in the U.S. Navy Reserves until his retirement after 30 years as a Captain in 2001. He has been a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Orange County Dental Society since coming to Orange County. He maintains memberships in several professional study organizations and the Rotary Club of Fullerton.

“Dr. John” has been an active participant in athletics all of his life and his current passions are golf and travel. He has been married for 30 years to his wife Terry, who is a Dental Hygienist and Fullerton native. They have two adult children, Erin and Sean.
